Visitors and organisers of the 7th "Berlin Pow Wow" take home positive impressions
Not even the bad weather stopped the enthusiasm of 751 trade visitors from the holiday and business trip sector at the 7th Berlin Pow Wow. The 408 international participants and 343 guests from the Berlin and Brandenburg region were impressed with the large variety and the quality offered by Berlin tourist service providers at the event that took place from 10 to 12 February.
In cooperation with BTM-Partnerhotels e.V. and BTM Partneragenturen Berlin e.V., Berlin Tourismus Marketing GmbH (BTM) had compiled an excellent programme for the trade visitors from 23 nations including Great Britain, the Netherlands, Finland, Russia and the U.S.A. Some 140 exhibitors provided information about the capital’s rich and colourful range of tourist offers. Europe’s most state-of-the-art selection of hotels was presented alongside numerous cultural locations, as well as services ranging from limousine rentals up to exclusive yacht charters.
Exhibitors gave samples of their services at the trend location “Postbahnhof am Ostbahnhof”, during excursions focussing on eight different themes, and at the official evening event in the Axel-Springer Mall, all of which offered lots of opportunities for making new business contacts. Ranging from “Belle et Fou“, the theatre of the senses, the “Friedrichstadtpalast” and the “Kulturbrauerei“ right up to “TIPI das Zelt am Kanzleramt“, the event showcased the multifaceted and extraordinary possibilities Berlin has to offer.
Berlin Pow Wow has once again proved an excellent forum of communication and information, and an attractive platform for making new contacts with service providers from Berlin and Brandenburg’s tourist sector and local hotel operators. Hans Eilers, CEO of BTM-Partnerhotels e.V.: “At the seventh Berlin Pow Wow, representatives of the Berlin tourist business once again convinced visitors of Berlin’s professional and appealing offers, asserting the capital’s prominent position in city break tourism. The extremely positive response of both national and international trade visitors, as well as the cultural programme, the excursions and the evening event reflected the success of the new Pow Wow concept. Pow Wow will take place again next year, with the support of BTM-Partnerhotels e.V..
