What is Pow Wow?

The word "Pow Wow" originates from the language of the Narragansett Indians and actually means "medicine man”.

In the 18th century, it has been used to describe the traditional meetings of the North American Indians. It served to cultivate relationships, to honor important persons or celebrate familiar events.

If you look back in the history of "Pow Wow”, it originates from the word "powwaw”; literally means : "somebody who has visions”. We had a vision and established a networking platform for Berlin and Brandenburg interested professionals from the leisure & business travel segments as well as for small MICE.

Every second year in February visitBerlin organises the popular trade meeting “Pow Wow”, in 2012 together with TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH. National and international professionals, invited as trade visitors to experience the region Berlin and Brandenburg. During the workshop the visitors will get in contact with with local exhibitors and can intensify these contacts at the joint evening event.

Theme tours, site inspections and the workshop will enable the visitors to experience Berlin and Brandenburg live. The Pow Wow will not only give an impression of the region's extraordinary variety but also provide inspiration for new offers.
